Author Mari Sandoz had numerous connections to the Kearney area, including having visited Kearney State Teacher’s College as a speaker and presenter. You can view many of her works on Friday, June 16 at the Buffalo County Historical Society/Trails & Rails Museum. Will Stoutamire, UNK History Department associate professor, will also be on hand to discuss the great public history work being done locally.
